On the morning of November 7, 2023, we signed a contract with the Seungil Hope Foundation for the construction of ALS(Lou Gehrig’s disease) Care hospital at our headquarters.
The size of the hospital is 4 floors above ground, 2 floors below ground, with a gross floor area of 4,995.45㎡, and is scheduled to be completed in November 2024.
On the morning of November 1, 2023, the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the Building HB, Hwaseong Plant, Yuhan Chemical Co. was held.
The building HB was started to construct in October 2022 and has 6 floors and a gross floor area of 9,709.43㎡.
The client, Yuhan Chemical, presented a plaque of appreciation to us for completing the project within the construction period and safely completing it without a single serious accident.
On Friday afternoon, October 13th, 2023, we conducted a video conference on safety and health management for the third quarter of the fiscal year with safety managers from all sites. The conference was led by our CSO, Mr. Kim Sung-ho, in the conference room at our headquarters.
During the conference, we assessed the implementation of safety and health goals at each site, the status of safety and health activities, and deliberated on improvement plans.
We’ve decided to implement an active “mobile smart safety management” system at all of our sites, which will use workers’ smartphones to notify and eliminate dangerous tasks in advance.
Our goal is to continue growing and developing into a construction company with “ZERO Serious Accidents.”
Q3 2023 Staff Dinner at Headquarters and Major Sites in Seoul
On September 22, 2023, we hosted a company dinner for the staff at our headquarters and major sites in Seoul.
Due to COVID-19, we hadn’t held this event for the past three years.
The purpose of the dinner was to recognize the staff’s hard work throughout Q3 2023 and to pledge unity and determination to lead Q4 and the following year, 2024, successfully.

The structural work for the basement floor is on schedule.
The site has implemented a smart safety management system, where workers engage in risk assessment, TBM, and safety training directly on their smartphones. This ensures dependable and efficient safety management.
On Friday, September 1, at 11:30 a.m., we held a comprehensive disaster safety drill for employees at our headquarters.
The drill focused on the “Fire Drill in the Event of a Fire at the Headquarters”.
All employees examined the operation of fire alarms, reporting procedures, quick evacuation, and the use of fire extinguishers and fire hydrants in a realistic situation.
On August 23, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., firefighters from the Hwaseong Fire Department visited the site of the new construction of HB Building at the Hwaseong Plant, which we are constructing, and conducted education and training on how to use an AED (automated external defibrillator) and CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) for workers on site.
We will continue to conduct continuous education and training so that the AED equipment we have on site can be used immediately in times of emergency and protect the precious lives of our workers. We would like to thank the firefighters from the Hwaseong Fire Department for this education and training.
On the afternoon of Wednesday, July 12, 2023, we held the second fiscal quarter safety and health management video conference with safety managers from all sites in the conference room at our headquarters.
During the meeting, we discussed in-depth the implementation of our safety and health goals, status reports on safety and health activities, safety and health plans, and improvement plans for problems at each site.
Mr. Kim Sung-ho, the Chief Security Officer, emphasized the importance of proactively identifying and managing risk factors by internalizing risk assessments across all facilities. The aim is to eliminate, replace or control risk factors in advance.
We will continue to make active efforts to ensure that the safety and health management regulations are thoroughly implemented in the management of safety and health at all sites and develop into a construction company with “ZERO serious accidents”.
To avoid the heat wave, the site has installed worker shelters, showers, and ice machines to prevent heat stroke accidents.
Additionally, workers will get a break lasting at least ten minutes every hour when the temperature exceeds 33 degrees.
We hope for a safe and secure construction site.

The excavation work is on track, and in order to ensure construction safety, we are conducting risk assessments every day and sharing them with all workers during TBM.
Our employees are making every effort to complete the excavation of the fifth basement level by the end of July.
